My Innovation Integration Timeline

juliaallison:

The history of great innovations is always the same:

they are invented
they are adopted by a few (innovators)
they are ridiculed
they are adopted by a few more (early adopters)
they are feared
they are adopted by a few more
they are discussed (the chasm)
they are adopted by many (early majority)
they are praised (late majority)
they are absorbed into everyday life
they are seen as so obvious it’s hard to imagine the world any other way (laggards)
they are written about in mainstream media

;)

Dear Julia:

Have you ever heard of the technology adoption life cycle?? Because your cycle looks just like this. Maybe you should do some reading on Crossing the Chasm, or research about the Chasm Institute. It seems like you will like it.

About

My very first blog was named "The Accretion Disk surrounding my Event Horizon ", as a metaphor representing the fact that the all the material in my blog was egocentrically focused on anything surrounding ME, so I'm the black hole that catches the stuff that goes by... and sometimes... I just can't seem to be able to stop the word vomit, and that is going in here :)
